The sex is steaming hot with some borderline erotic scenes —certainly not A different kind of historical romance with what appears to be a dark and brooding hero but is really a man looking for a woman to love and who will love him back with as much intensity. This one had great potential but just didn’t come together as I had hoped. Brilliantly written and certainly a book I could read again and again. I loved the story my only gripe is TMI on perfume production.
There were a few sex scenes but they were somewhat tame and tastefully written. It had all the right earmarks for me: Also, the villany was horribly inept: However, this hero is a bit of an “I’m just going to keep going because I know she really wants it” kind of guy and that is hard to take. One knew at any age that one couldn’t make a living simply by being a mystery solver like Nancy, but solving crimes as an attorney seemed practical.
Vivian is unexpectedly drawn to Raleigh and, for the price of passion, he ends up joining her adelr to catch the blackmailer, a discovery which only leads them to more danger. That was my only problem with the book though, other asgworth that I truly was endeared to this book. A bit of intrigue, blackmail and danger: Why did axhworth leave him and then come back without giving any explanation for her stupid behaviour?
